- Elisabeth Verlooy was born on June 16, 1933 in Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. She was an actress, known for Die Hexenjagd (1964) and Het liefdeselixir (1962). She died on November 22, 2012 in Elsene, Belgium.
- She received her first music training from her mother, a singing teacher.
- In 1956 she received the Mozart Prize from the Mozarteum in Salzburg in the category of songs and arias; she had previously performed in that city.
- The General Music Encyclopedia called her a singing prodigy; she is said to have sung perfectly at the age of three.
- From 1956, she worked for the opera company in Frankfurt am Main, and from 1962 for the company in Hannover.
- Elisabeth also appeared with the Flemish Opera, the State Opera Wiesbaden, the Stuttgart Opera, the Cologne Opera, the Hamburg Opera, the Dusseldorf Opera, the Berlin Opera, the Zurich Opera, the Bern Opera, and the Vienna State Opera.
