Jose Fresan

Jose Fresan is an award-winning screenwriter and multidisciplinary artist. His debut feature film, Of Water and Dust, has been selected in multiple competitions worldwide. He was awarded Best New York Screenplay at the New York Screenwriting Awards 2025 and Best Foreign Screenplay at Best Script Awards London 2025. His work spans visual art, film direction, and design. He is a Fulbright scholar and has received the One Show Young Ones pencil. His first short film, El Retrato, was featured at the Filminlatino emerging short film festival in 2022. He graduated from the City College of New York.
