Biography

Jason Gallagher is a producer, director, writer and internet personality and Head of Production for ThreeFourTwo Productions - the innovative podcasting and content company created by JJ Redick and Tommy Alter.

Before joining ThreeFourTwo, Jason spent 2021 producing content for Crooked Media, where he directed "ALL CAPS: NBA" w/ Jason Concpecion and was a consulting producer on "Takeline" w/ Renee Montgomery. He also served as producer for "The Dan Le Batard Show" and "The Long Shot Podcast" w/ Duncan Robinson. Jason also consulted for "Spinsters" at The Blue Wire podcast network and The Volume podcast network.

Prior to this, Jason was a multimedia producer at The Ringer (2016-2021) where he co-created shows such as "NBA Desktop" with Jason Concepcion, "Slow News Day" w/ Kevin Clark and "The Void" w/ Kevin O'Connor. Jason helped shape the public voice and brand of The Ringer on both social media and video and eventually became The Creative Strategy Lead at The Ringer where he produced videos for "The Bill Simmons Podcast", "Binge Mode", "10 Questions w/ Kyle Brandt", "The Big Picture", "The Watch" and was a producer on "Talk The Thrones", "After The Thrones" and "Big Little Live". While at The Ringer, Jason also created several viral videos and songs across sports and culture including "Halleluka", "Dear Baby Yoda", "Take Me Home, Pat Mahomes", and "Takehunter".

For their work on "NBA Desktop" -- a web series that looked at the NBA through the lens of the internet -- Jason Gallagher and Jason Concepcion received The 2019 Sports Emmy for "Outstanding Digital Innovation" and followed that up with another nomination for the series with a 2020 Sports Emmy for "Outstanding Social TV Experience".

Jason began his career as a graduate of The Second City's writing program in Chicago (2013). He wrote and produced the NBA musical "The Lockout: A Musical" - whose musical's cast album was featured on ESPN and other outlets. Later that year, Jason started a satirical sports blog called Ballerball which was immediately picked up by ESPN's Truehoop network and Jason was shortly tapped by Bill Simmons to join Grantland as a writer and multimedia producer.

In 2014, Jason wrote NFL recaps for Rolling Stone, blogs for The Dallas Mavericks and did freelance work for Nike before becoming a creative producer for Funny or Die and The Detroit Pistons.
