Pearson was born and raised in Memphis TN., to Sam Pearson and Daisy Williams. His father was a construction worker and an ice and coal delivery man. His mother was a homemaker. Tony was a wrestler in high school until he suffered a knee injury. Soon after moving to Los Angeles he was discovered by the great Arnold Schwarzenegger at the famous muscle beach, California. Tony was inspired to become a professional bodybuilder within a few years he garnered the titles of Mr. America and Pro Mr. Universe. His career has extended over fifty years.

Tony traveled the world during his bodybuilding career. He lived in Madrid, Spain and Hanover Germany.
In 1979, Tony Pearson and Lisa Lyon were the first mixed pair to guest pose at a bodybuilding event. At that time women were not included in bodybuilding competitions and posing together was a ground breaking event, creating a paradigm shift in the industry.
Fabio was the king of romance novels, and he appeared on the cover of people magazines. Weight training was an important part of the models daily routine. To maintain his physique he hired Tony Pearson as his personal trainer/ workout partner.
In 1984 Tony Pearson was being interviewed for an article in the World famous Ben and Joe Weider's Muscle and fitness magazine, when all of a sudden the interviewer paused for a moment and looked at Tony and said 'you look like Michael Jackson with muscles' thus, The Michael Jackson of bodybuilding was born.
Tony had a dream that he wrote a book, when he awakened he thought to himself that's impossible, but the dream seemed so surreal that he decided to make an attempt. As a first time author he's written two books "Driven" My Secret Untold Story and "The Story of Baby Herc." a children's edition.
