Matteo Clarke is a half-French, half-British wildlife filmmaker and conservation advocate, raised in Germany and now based in Bristol, UK. After earning a B.Sc. in Zoology he refined his craft on prestige series such as Home: Africa for the BBC Natural History Unit (Disney+/Nat Geo) and documentaries for Channel 4, Arte and PBS.
In 2024 he Co-Founded WildReach Productions, releasing the multi-award-winning short "KALU: Growing Up Wild" followed by "Heart of the Osa", "Sandcastle" and "The Leap Beneath". The WildReach production on the short documentary "The Last Cry of the Canyon" (2025) and develops additional titles that fuse cinematic storytelling with conservation impact.
Matteo's camera work spans Central and South America, Australia, Africa and the Arctic, his field résumé stretches from canopy rigs in tropical rainforests to reef dives and sub-zero treks in glaciers and arctic environments. He is PADI Advanced Open Water certified, holds BCAP Canopy Access accreditation, and is a licensed African safari guide, skills that let him capture stories in treetops, mountains, deserts, and deep water alike.
A 2024 Ocean Culture Life grantee and regular presence on international conservation panels, Mattéo champions solution-driven storytelling as a catalyst for protecting the planet's wild places. His first feature documentary, a cinematic project set in Shetland is slated for release in late 2025, and he continues to develop short-form and branded content that amplifies global conservation efforts.
