Biography

Md Wasim Raza is an Indian actor and content creator known for his work across South Indian and Nepali cinema. He has portrayed a range of impactful character roles and gained recognition for his strong on-screen presence and versatility.

He notably played the lead villain in the Nepali feature film Hairaan (2018), further establishing his credentials as a performer capable of handling intense and dynamic roles.

In the South Indian film industry, Wasim has worked alongside renowned actors such as Late Puneeth Rajkumar followed by Upendra and Jagapathi Babu. His film credits include Maurya, Uppi Dada MBBS, and Jaguar, where he delivered notable character performances.

Expanding his creative involvement in cinema, Wasim has also worked as a content creator for the Nepali feature film Love You Baba, directed by Sugat Bista. Released on December 12, 2014, the film earned recognition in the Guinness World Records for being directed by the world’s youngest film director and went on to receive two national awards.

Wasim’s passion for acting began during his engineering studies in Bangalore, Karnataka, where he participated in the DD National reality show Kalakaarz, hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala and Shradha Nigam. His performances were highly appreciated by esteemed judges Amol Palekar and Deepti Naval.

In addition to his film career, Wasim is a highly accomplished martial artist and Senior Instructor. He holds a 6th Dan Black Belt from FSKA-World and a 6th Degree Black Belt in Kerekwan Hapkido Hosinsul (USA). And 3rd Dan Black Belt from World Karate Federation - Japan, His expertise spans Shotokan, Hapkido, and Karate, which also enhances his capabilities in action-oriented roles.

Alongside his creative and martial arts pursuits, Wasim has professional experience in the corporate sector, having served as AGM - Projects in a Bangalore-based company.
