Sambo Joe Kim

Sambo Joe Kim was born in 1994 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Sambo left Phnom Penh at the age of 12, he came to the United States and made his way to Utah State, where he started elementary school in 6th grade. After finishing high school, he soon enrolled in a community college where he pursued a degree in Visual Arts and Design in Digital Media. Besides his studying Digital Media and Sambo, he always has a love interest in martial arts. He has loved martial arts films since he was a kid. While growing up, he watched Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh, Stephan Chow, and Classic Kung Fu movies. At one point, he simultaneously discovered Donnie Yen in the Ip Man Movie. One of the best fight scenes ever was when Donnie Yen was portrayed in "Ip Man" vs. 10 Karate Black Belts. Basically, the movie "Ip Man" inspired him to begin learning martial arts. His styles of martial arts are unique. He has learned Wing Chun Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Kun Bokator, Kun Khmer, Shaolin, Tai Chi, Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, and MMA And he has now become a Martial Arts Instructor at one of the top Martial Arts Studios in the US, called "Premier Martial Arts". Besides teaching Martial Arts at PMA, he got the opportunity to become an Action Director and Fight Choreographer for the upcoming new feature film called "Power Rangers: Origins - Resurgence of the Coin". After all those years of his martial arts training, dedication, and hard work, he is going to be in another upcoming feature film called "Black Stone Hands". With his talent, it will lead him to be more in the upcoming future projects. His role models that inspired him to get into martial arts are Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Michelle Yeoh Stephan Chow, Vuthy S and his Master Kenya Prach. But he is so blessed and grateful to his Grandmaster, Instructor and Mentor that guided him to be a great man today.

Most people don't know about that in life. It doesn't matter how big or how small, how high, or how low we are face each day. But remember that life is a journey, not a destination.
