Kirk Palayan

Kirk Palayan has both written and produced a number of dramatic films. His short film 'Dissociative' (2008), which he both wrote and produced, earned him the "Best Thriller" and "Most Promising Director" awards. Additionally, 'Bhopali' (2011), a film he produced, received accolades from the Slamdance Film Festival, being named the Best Overall Documentary and Audience Favorite Documentary. He also served as the executive producer & UPM for the feature film 'Princess of the Row' (2020). He just completed a short, dramatic, sci-fi film called 'Forgotten Future' (2025), is wrapping up a feature documentary 'Skid Row, Los Angeles' (2025) and is presently developing a reality competition television show. In his role as an educator, he has garnered multiple awards for his animation curriculum, and the Los Angeles County Office of Education has acknowledged his students for their 3D Animation projects. Furthermore, he founded the 'Animation & Film Festival', which is now in its 23rd year, showcasing some of the finest work from student animators within the Los Angeles Unified School District.
