Youssef Omar is a young Egyptian actor who left quite a positive impression on audiences with his diverse roles.

This rising star's relationship with acting began as young as 12 years old when he played a number of small theater roles, which deepened his passion for the craft and ignited his desire for greater projects. It is this drive that pushed him to study at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts as well as the Academy of Arts, where he honed his talents.

Before his breakthrough in the 2018 drama RAHIM alongside Yasser Galal and Nour, Youssef guest-starred in the series KHANAT EL YAK in 2016 and AGHLA MEN HAYATY in 2010.

In the following years, Youssef began taking on more serious roles, playing a prosecutor alongside Mai Ezz Eldin in 2020's KHEET HAREER, the heart-throb Murad in the fourth season of NASIBI WA QESMETIK, and a rebellious teen in Sameh Abdel-Aziz's Ramadan 2021 season drama HARB AHLEYA opposite Yousra.

Later that same year, Youssef got his chance to shine in the Shahid Original SETAT BEIT AL-MAADI (MAADI HOUSEWIVES), where he played Tamer (Timo) El-Badry - a recently graduated visual artist who falls in love with his mother's married friend, who is twenty years older than him.

The role garnered Youssef widespread critical acclaim, with critics lauding his acting skills and screen presence and audiences enamored by his charm and charisma.

Soon after, he played the role of Yassin in the 2022 family drama EL EILA DEE and guest-starred as Rizk the mechanic in the Ramadan 2023 season military drama EL KATEEBA 101.

He was also a series regular in the third season of LEH LAA?!, in which he plays Sherbiny - a reckless university student who lives a double life with two contradicting personalities; to his father, he's an obedient, upright son, but when he's among his friends, he's a rebellious, violent young man who spends his father's money on drugs and all sorts of illicit activities.

Aside from that, this rising star recently made his debut on the big screen in 2023' AWLAD HAREEM KAREEM opposite Mostafa Amar, Dalia El-Behery, Basma, and Ola Ghanem before starring in Raouf El Sayed's EL HAREEFA, which released this January in cinemas across Egypt and several Arab countries and has gone on to become one of the top ten highest grossing films in Egyptian history. The film stars Nour El Nabawy, Ahmed Ghozzi, Nour Ehab, and Khaled El Zahaby.

As for his latest work, Youssef stole the audience's hearts with two mini-series in the Ramadan 2024 season, playing the role of Hassan in Yasmine Ahmed Kamel's AALA NESBET MOSHAHDA alongside Salma Abu Deif and Layla Ahmed Zaher, and the role of Dr. Ezz in Abdelaziz Al Naggar's Watch It Original LAHZET GHADAB opposite Saba Mubarak and Mohamed Shahin.
