Biography

Karla "Roxie" Arce is a 14-year U.S. Navy Veteran who served in the United States Seabees. After the military, she worked in Corporate America, which re-ignited her interest in the film and television industry. She earned a B.F.A. in Creative Producing with a minor in Production Design at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Awarded "Filmmaker of the Year for Producing" by Doge College and Zonta Film Festival for her peer-to-peer mentorship and skills in managing projects. Her Senior Thesis film, Tits Up, has earned Official Selection with multiple Honorable Mention to 6 film festivals between 2025 and 2026 with her first writing credit. She looks forward to making her mark on the industry using her combined skills and talents from the military and education to make compelling visual storytelling.
