Djamila was born in the Netherlands from a Chinese/Surinamese mother and Swiss father. From the age of 4 she was active at the ballet academy of Lucia Marthas in Amsterdam, where she danced until she was 14. Then several years as a background dancer in, among other things, the Mini Playback Show (1990) by Henny Huisman.
Djamila started doing a lot of modeling work at a later age and presented the dance program "Sweetness TV" and "Veronica Dance". In addition, she participated in the 2 seasons program "Banana Split" with Frans Bauer. Djamila gained national fame after her participation in the TV programs "Queens Of The Jungle", "Jouw Vrouw Mijn Vrouw" and especially "Steenrijk Straatarm". After these broadcasts, her Social Media channels exploded and have continued to grow. It is especially striking that Djamila is one of the Dutch trendsetters on TikTok.
