Shim Dagatan is a Filipino actor, singer, host, and public information professional from Danao City, Cebu, Philippines.
A passionate performer since childhood, Shim built his foundation in theater and live performance before expanding into film and digital media. He is best known for portraying TimidTim in Hook Up: The Musical, a stage production that raises awareness about HIV, sexual health, and the experiences of people living with HIV. His performance showcased his ability to balance humor, vulnerability, and emotional depth on stage.
Beyond acting, Shim is a member of the Cebu-based boy band group Kinto Boys, a quartet formed by artists from Cebu's 5th District. The group gained recognition with its debut single, "Basin Maybe," released under Kadasig, a record label founded by award-winning songwriter and producer Jude Gitamondoc.
Offstage, Shim serves in the Public Information Office of the City Government of Danao, where he produces multimedia content, hosts official government events, and develops campaigns that promote public service, tourism, disaster resilience, and community engagement. His work combines storytelling, communication, and creative media to help connect citizens with government programs and initiatives.
