Biography

Wayne Burdette is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, and director, as well as the visionary Founder & CEO of Moonless Media & Entertainment, a division of SteelHorn Holdings.

He is also the Founder & CEO of the Moonless Arts Institute. A program of SteelHorn Foundation, a 501c3 Organization dedicated to bringing the arts to youth of all ages and socioeconomic status.

Wayne's passion for entertainment was sparked at a young age through talent shows and singing, and it grew when he began creating his own radio and television commercials. Rather than making "just commercials," Wayne transformed them into memorable productions that audiences still recall today, proof of his instinct to elevate every project into something lasting.

Alongside his film and production ventures, Wayne is also a dynamic podcast host, bringing his voice and perspective to Missing the Shift. Through every medium, he puts his heart and soul into the work - creating stories and experiences that inspire, challenge, and endure.

Wayne is a Former Chevrolet Automobile Dealer and actually was one of the youngest dealers in the country when GM/Chevrolet authorized him to become a franchise dealer at 24.

Prior to becoming a Chevrolet dealer and after selling the dealership, was one a Firefighter/Paramedic and has helped with writing numerous medical text books and courses.

At the young age of 26, Wayne became a NASCAR Team Owner at the age of 26 and that year his team placed 10th in the 1999 Daytona 500 and when Wayne left the team, they were in the top 20 in points as a team with no primary sponsor.

Wayne is a Certified Scuba Instructor through both PADI & SSI and still enjoys teaching courses.
