Biography

Mário Filipe Patrício das Neves was born in Lisbon, Portugal. From an early age, he developed a passion for filmmaking, storytelling, and visual media, creating short films with a family video camera alongside childhood friend Samuel Horta.

After gaining experience in acting, theatre, and independent filmmaking, Mário founded MFN Productions in 2012, working as a producer, director of photography, editor, and filmmaker. His first major documentary project, Overtoun, began production in 2013 and marked an important milestone in his career.

In 2013, he launched the MFN Productions YouTube channel, showcasing cinematic productions and documentary-style content. In 2024, the channel was rebranded as Exploring With Croft, reflecting its focus on cinematic travel, history, abandoned places, and forgotten locations across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Mário is also the creator of the gaming YouTube channel M3Croft, established in 2018, where he produces gameplay walkthroughs, technology content, live streams, and vlogs.

Known for combining cinematic filmmaking, drone cinematography, and historical storytelling, Mário continues to create independent documentaries and online content that inspire viewers to explore the world’s hidden places and forgotten history.
