Biography

Born in 1977 in East Berlin, he went to school at a peculiar place: The Heinrich-Heine-Schule on Sebastianstraße, being built into the death strip of the Berlin Wall. There he witnessed the changes of 1989/90 at the age of 12, already studying classical guitar. After 6 years of that, he changed to Jazz Guitar for another 5 years. 1997 he graduated from high school "Charles Darwin", then did a full training as Media Designer at Deutsche-Welle-TV from 1998 to 2001. After one year of a BA-music-course at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) he completed the 4-year study of "Composition and Arranging in Jazz and Light Music" with teacher Paul M. van Brugge at the Rotterdam Conservatory in 2007. After that, he has worked for theaters throughout Germany, composed for TV and Film, arranged for orchestras and dance ensembles. He is still playing guitar, often electric bass and sometimes percussion & drums. A full repertoire of his work can be found.
