- Has two older sisters, Naomi and Chantal.
- He is one quarter Indonesian, his mother Bianca hails from Indonesia.
- His first album was self-titled. It contained the popular songs 'Step Right Up' and 'When You Walk In The Room' which is a duet with Dewi, another contestant on 'Idols'.
- Wore spectacles for most of his life, but has been wearing contact lenses for a couple of years now.
- Has said that his lifelong dream has come true by playing in musicals. The first thing he thought when winning Idols (2002) was 'Now I can enter the theater'. He has even won a scholarship (2005) to further educate himself in the musical world.
- (2004-) Is now a musical star and has appeared in musicals like "Hello Dolly". He is now singing in the booth in "The Lion King" and will be appearing in "Jesus Christ Superstar" in Fall 2005.
- Announced that he will play Marius in the Dutch production of Les Miserables (June 2007)
- Won the first season of Idols (2002) on 8 March 2003.
