A member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, David is both a dynamic performer and a visionary producer. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a BFA in Theater and is Afro-Brazilian and Italian, holding dual citizenship and fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Renowned as a spoken word poet, David trademarked Spinema(TM) (spoken word cinema), and has produced and directed these highly acclaimed works with celebrity collaborators like Joivan Wade and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. Through his production company, Exertion Films, he has licensed feature films to Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount+, Apple TV, Fandango, and more, his eighth feature, Catalyst (2025), is now streaming on Apple TV+ and Prime Video.
