Biography

Oliver Shaw is a British actor known for his work across film and television.

He plays Daniel, the 14-year-old defendant at the centre of Channel 4's The Jury: 14 & On Trial for Murder (2026). The programme won a BAFTA Television Award in 2025 and was nominated again in 2026. Oliver was 15 when he filmed the role, with Daniel's testimony and the circumstances surrounding the case forming the dramatic heart of the series.

Oliver's screen career began at the age of eleven, with early support from casting director Robert Sterne for his first feature film role in the British period thriller The Critic (2023). Oliver played Rowan Wiley, appearing alongside Sir Ian McKellen, Gemma Arterton, Mark Strong, Romola Garai, and Ben Barnes.

He also played Milo in Hallmark’s award-winning trilogy The Groomsmen (2024), adding an international television credit to his growing body of screen work.

Oliver comes from a creative family background. He is related to the celebrated playwright George Bernard Shaw, who is a cousin from an earlier generation of his family. His younger brother is actor Alexander Shaw, known for The King’s Man, (2021), Napoleon (2023) and playing Manus in the BAFTA winning comedy Amandaland.
