- A Bahraini Filmmaker and Scriptwriter who was born in 1997, and lives in an obsession with writing, films, and life. Taqwa Ali Naser got her Behaclor of degree in Cinematic Arts in Malaysia at MMU University in 2019.
She is thirsty to shed light on ideas that create another dimension in life and pose essential and philosophical questions to a global audience, especially the Bahraini audience.
From 2016 until 2019 Taqwa plays a lot of different roles, in many films and projects that were shot in Bahrain, and Malaysia but mainly, her core roles are either scriptwriter or director. And currently, she works as a scriptwriter for Creative Soul Art Production Company, writing TV ads, Films, and TV series for the Middle Eastern industry. And to keep her knowledge fresh, Taqwa is always participating in many scriptwriters workshops across the globe, as lately (Red Sea Lodge- Jeddah - KSA 2022 )and (MEMI Program - LA - USA 2022).
Taqwa Ali Naser won the First prize for her film " Wings Of The Dawn" in 2019 from MMU University, and also she won the second prize at Made With Passion film festival in Bahrain 2022, for "The shoes that get smaller every night" short film, which even was a winner in the production funding from the beginning. Taqwa also gets a fund by (Alliance française in Bahrain and Box 7 in Saudi Arabia ) for a short film called " The Grocery List" and it is scheduled to be filmed at the end of 2022.
A dreamy soul that reflects the weirdness of life, by searching for the small details that we as human beings are blind enough to acknowledge and appreciate, and apply in her films, this is who Taqwa Ali Naser is.
