Kassia Meador

Longboard surfer and lifestyle photographer Kassia Meador was born in 1982 in Westlake Village, California. Kassia started surfing at age fourteen. After winning the Roxy Wahine Classic contest in Costa Rica at age fifteen (this was the first surf contest she ever entered), Meador got a sponsorship deal with Roxy and became the face of the Roxy swimwear empire. Kassia took up photography while recovering from a broken foot in 2002 and subsequently discovered that she had a natural knack for it; her photographs have been exhibited in such places as Japan, Europe, New York, and Los Angeles. Moreover, Meador developed her own line of Roxy wet suits in 2010 and ranked at #2 on the 2011 ASP Women's Longboard Tour. In addition, Kassia appears in the music video for "Kentucky" by Norah Jones and Billie Joe Armstrong.
