The film was shelved for unknown reasons. Hansal Mehta earlier in 1999 wanted to make another project titled "Shaadi.com" starring Tabu with either Saif Ali Khan or Akshaye Khanna. Hansal Mehta dropped the project because he was unable to find a producer. When Hansal and Feroz decided to work together, Hansal gave the title "Shaadi.com" to Feroz Khan.
