Janet Kay was born on January 17, 1958 in London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for Burning an Illusion (1981), Butterfly Kiss (1995) and A Touch of Frost (1992).

British reggae singer. She had a big success with her reggae version of the Minnie Riperton hit "Lovin' You" in 1977 and a big European hit with "Silly Games" in 1979.

She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2023 King's New Year's Honours List for her services to Music. She is an actress and singer in London, England.
