Mini bio

  • Patrick Clark is an Emmy and Telly Award-Winning host. Currently, Patrick serves as host of HGTV's Offbeat America. He has been featured on G4-TechTV, ABC Family Channel, All News Channel and has served as a correspondent for Cartoon Network.

He began his career in radio working at the "The Imagination Station", a children's radio station in St. Louis. He's also worked at radio stations WVRV-FM 101.1, WIL-FM 92.3, WRTH 1430-AM, and WSIE-FM 88.7. Patrick has served as a Program Director and on-air host before moving to television. He became a general assignment reporter at KDNL ABC 30 before joining KPLR WB11 as a feature/entertainment reporter and occasional sports anchor.

While working at WB11 Patrick was busy writing his own column "A Reporter's Notebook" for Stltoday.com. If that wasn't enough to keep him occupied, he was also teaching a television production class at his alma mater Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

Patrick began commuting between St. Louis and Los Angeles when he was named anchor of "Pulse" on G4TechTV. While still reporting fulltime for WB11 in St. Louis, he was also hosting the entertainment and technology news magazine each week in Los Angeles. His reporting skills and easy manor have landed Patrick numerous interviews with everyone from Nicole Kidman to Johnny Depp.

A music lover, he spends his spare time as a composer.

Patrick began playing piano at the age of six and later took up the alto sax in junior high. While working at the Imagination Station he recorded a children's album "Moo Moo Vacation." Critics enjoyed the album encouraging parents to "Pick it up, you'll be glad you did," (Riverfront Times). After the success of "Moo Moo Vacation" Patrick turned his singer-songwriting skills in a new direction.

His first CD "None the Worse for the Better" was released on the Tinker Records label. An album, critics say, "Finds joy in unexpected places," (St. Louis Post Dispatch). The music is best described as a blend of rock-n-roll with alternative pop and musical roots that start deep in the Midwest.

He most recently released his second CD entitled "American Maid". Among the featured songs on the disc include the title track "American Maid" and the popular WB theme and Emmy award-winning song "The Night is Young", which was used in St. Louis, Missouri, Dayton, Ohio, and Knoxville, Tennessee.
