Biography

Rachel Binder was born on November 9, 1973 in Maine, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for Between the Lines (2012), Beauty and the Beast (2010) and Jerusalemski sindrom (2004).

Miss Maine 1997 (The Miss America Pageant).

Grew up on a potato farm in Northern Maine.

After her reign as Miss Maine in the Miss America Pageant, Rachel began her stage career Off-Broadway and in regional theater. She is one of a very few actors to have played the role of Cathy in East of Eden. Rachel moved to Los Angles and began working in TV and film. Some projects include Jerusalem Syndrome with Martin Sheen (filmed in Israel), the Hillz with Paris Hilton, A Year and A Day with Fairuza Balk, and Jake in progress (ABC) opposite John Stamos. In addition she has been developing a comedy web series about small town pageants. In 2010 she opened an original comedy at Edgemar Center for the Arts and appeared at the Will Geer Theatricum Shakespeare Festival.
