Biography

Was convicted in November 1995 of ten murders and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Was friends with Myra Hindley - Britain's other infamous murderess - they met while they were both inmates at Durham prison, before Hindley's death in 2002.

With her husband, Fred West, she killed ten women. Her husband carried out a further 2 killings in which she played no part.

Gave birth to a total of eight children: Heather (b. October 1970), Mae (b. June 1972), Stephen (b. August 1973), Tara (b. December 1977), Louise (b. November 1978), Barry (b. June 1980), Rosemary Junior (b. April 1982) and Lucyanna (b. July 1983). Tara, Rosemary Junior and Lucyanna were fathered by her West Indian clients during her career as a prostitute, the other five were fathered by her husband Fred.
