Biography

San Francisco Bay Area costume designer, celebrity tribute artist, and California State licensed cosmetologist. As a teen student Rebecca was the recipient of Gold medals in the VICA education Olympics and tailoring awards from State Fair entries. Then as a young designer of 17 she gained enough attention as the go-to local designer filling a niche market with many clients from the Glam Rock & Roll Music scene to be hired as the head designer for a Los Altos specialty boutique. She specialized in making custom tailored stage costumes for men that were appearing in venues weekly at a time in history where were few retail clothing outlets around the Bay to provide flashy stage presence to up and coming performances of area musical artists.She is self taught in leather tailoring but was greatly influenced by North Beach leather designers.She worked as an actress occasionally and eventually came to specialize in celebrity tribute stage acts of Marilyn Monroe and Madonna and has toured in shows as a singing, dancing and comedic performer in productions through South Asia & Japan. She has often contributed to theatrical performances via being the designer who has made pieces of select custom clothing for individual entertainers, actor or dance troupes. Whether volunteering to help, or take a key role in developing projects with other struggling Bay Area artists since 1984, she is experienced in over two decades of varied involvement contributing the costume designs or wardrobe assistance noted as former clientele. She holds an extensive photo portfolio of her handiwork that has also been published in Bay Area newsprint music and art journals such as BAM, Fad, Metro, and The Informant magazines. Working with professionals in the entertainment industry, body builders, dancers, and circus performers, she has mastered pattern making in a wide variety of fabrication materials. In 2010 Rebecca was chosen to be the costume designer for the theater at Cub Med resort in Port St Lucie Fla. In 2011.12,13,14 she was designing for area Halloween Haunt attractions' live interactive theater. In 2015, 16, & 17 She continues to take work in the Northern California area providing theatrical wardrobe and cast dressing which include professional makeup application and hair artistry for hire.
