Biography

Josh loves collaborating and cooking up ideas to thrill and surprise the audience, hopefully showing them something they've never seen or imagined before. A self taught live-action storyboard artist in Film and TV, he has drawn shooting boards for dozens of feature films, hundreds of TV commercials and shows, and a few games. He has worked with numerous directors, including Steven Spielberg, Guillermo Del Toro, Matt Reeves, Spike Jonze, Roman Coppola, Judd Apatow, and Jay Roach. Some credits include The Batman, two Planet of the Apes, 2 Thor films, Spielberg's Robopocalypse and Warhorse, Lovecraft Country, Where the Wild Things Are and Her. He has extensive experience working closely with Previs, VFX and Stunts on feature films, and has basic Unreal game engine skills to integrate Art Department and VFX assets into his storyboards. Josh believes it's all about the STORY, and making sure it remains intact throughout the complexities of production; important ideas and designs need to be protected, so that they don't get lost or watered down in the increasingly fragmented VFX film making process. He still can't believe people pay him to draw and tell stories!
