Daan ten Cate is a Dutch writer, producer, gaffer and occasional actor who was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
Ten Cate is based in the Netherlands, but has (co-)written and helped produce a bunch of U.S. projects. In 2023, ten Cate debuted in the Netherlands with the screenplay to Sociale Drug (2023).
Ten Cate's education in film consists of QISSA's film SCHOOL in 2023 and Scenariovakschool, a Dutch screenwriting academy, from 2024 to 2027 while simultaneously attending Common Culture’s Film School in 2026.
