Chris Tangey

Chris Tangey is a Cinematographer, specializing in drone. Represented by RMK Crew, he is also a Location Manager and maintains an extensive 4K and 6K stock footage library of Australia. His short films represented Australia at World Expo Japan 2025. Nine of his works played daily on the 12 metre screen at the Australia Pavilion over 180 days to 3 million visitors. His imagery features in many permanent exhibitions including the new 6K cinematic film at the entrance to the Australian War Memorial Canberra, the National Museum of Australia, the National Science Museum of Canada, Ottawa and the La Nube Children's Museum in El Paso Texas. He licenses his 4K stock footage worldwide including to BBC Natural History Unit, Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, Paramount, Studiocanal and Stan productions. He is also a Location Manager and Scout and the NT Director for the Australian Location Managers Guild. He has won the Judges Award plus 10 gold and 5 silver awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society and 37 international awards for aerial cinematography including wins in LA and from 3 different New York City festivals. Aerial projects include: BBC's blue-chip nature series "Wonders of the Monsoon", "7 Worlds-One Planet","Mammals" and soon, "Hidden Planet".The Universal Pictures feature film "Lee Kernaghan-Boy from the bush". the Stan feature documentary "the Cape". Visual material for the new Paramount Plus comedy series "Betoota Advocate" . a major new series for SBS "The Idea of Australia". He also supplied his aerial skills to the Season 24, 2-part finale, of the "The Bachelor" (U.S. 2020) for Warner Bros, "Nomad-in the footsteps of Bruce Chatwin" under the direction of film legend Werner Herzog, a global TVC for Tourism Australia "Dundee" under Academy award-winning DOP Russell Boyd ASC, ACS, and all of the Australia footage for Nathaniel Rateliff's music video "Time Stands".
