Biography

Ilian Kanev is a Bulgarian actor with professional training and experience across film, television, and theatre. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Acting from New Bulgarian University 2018-2022 and completed further intensive training with the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute 2024-2026.

His screen credits include lead roles in Henny, The Last Song, Mercury Retrograde, and Fallen Apples, as well as featured roles in Children of Bendida, Reunion 2, and Speculators. On stage, his notable credits include playing Don Juan in Don Juan on Trial, Gayev in The Cherry Orchard, and appearing in Medea.

Kanev is a native Bulgarian speaker, is fluent in English, and speaks basic French. His specialised skills include fencing, archery, and shooting, alongside boxing, swimming, and horse riding.
