Historia Yi Wang

Yi Wang (Historia Yi) is a film producer from Shanghai who is currently active in Los Angeles and New York. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where she organized two Luminar Film Festivals. She completed her master's degree in directing (Video and Related Media, Digital Photography) at the School of Visual Arts in New York. With four years of experience in film and television project development and production, she has participated in the production of dozens of narrative short films during her undergraduate and graduate studies and has been selected for over a hundred film festivals.

Among her works, the stop-motion animated short film "The Perfect Smile," which she directed, produced, photographed, and edited, was selected for the Short Film Sections of the 2022 Palm Springs International Film Festival and the 2022 Beijing International Film Festival. Her directorial and producing work "Brave if" achieved Finalist status at the 2022 Oniros Film Awards and received an Honorable Mention at the 2023 Student World Impact Film Festival. Her directorial and producing work "Smoothie" won the Best Dark Comedy award at the 2024 International Film & Script Festival Lotus. Additionally, her film "The Last Butterfly," for which she served as Executive Producer and Marketing Producer, won the Best Female Drama award at the Reale Film Festival. Her film "The Perfect Smile" won the Fantastic Short Film award at the Five Continents International Film Festival on April 30, 2024. Her film "The Last Butterfly" also won the Best Short Narrative award at the Full Bloom Film Festival on September 7, 2024.
