Born and brought up in Mumbai, Vedang completed his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and pursued his higher studies at "SVKM's NMIMS" (known as Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies), where his interest in performance and creative expression continued to develop alongside his academic work.

Vedang Raina entered the film industry with The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, where he portrayed Reggie Mantle. The musical coming-of-age film introduced him to a wide audience and highlighted his comfort with performance-driven storytelling, blending acting, music, and screen presence. His work in the film drew attention for its confidence and natural rhythm, marking a strong debut.
