- Robert Lin is a Taiwanese American director/actor with a BA in film production and a minor in business from the University of Utah. He grew up mostly in Taipei, Taiwan, and around the Salt Lake valley in Utah. Robert has been working on film sets since he was a teenager, having been 2nd assistant director for a feature film at the age of 19. He moved to Los Angeles in 2022, where he is now pursuing a MFA in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA.
His undergrad capstone film, Forfeit (2022), was awarded Best Director at the Zappers Film Festival, and won the Best Student Crime Short award at IndieX Film Fest, an IMDB qualifier. His most recently published short film, Almost Home (2024), has earned 10 official festival selections so far across Los Angeles, New York, and Milan, Italy, with multiple award wins.
On top of filmmaking, Robert is also a trained screen actor, with appearances in commercials for Qdoba and HP.
