Jagdish Varma was born in 1939 in the Punjab Region of British India. He was the founder of J.V. Films. Jagdish is best known for being the producer of Budtameez (1966), Insaaniyat (1974) and Oonch Neech Beech (1989). He was married to Shajoo Varma, with whom he had two children: a son, Sameer, married to Ritika Varma and a daughter, Sabina, married to Kawal Sharma. Jagdish died in 2000 in Mumbai, India.
