Sasha Piltsin

Sasha Piltsin is an established and widely recognized North America based Russian and Ukrainian dialect and language coach and actor with more than 25 years of professional experience in film and television. Specializing in Russian and Ukrainian dialogue, accents, and performance preparation, he has coached on major productions including Supergirl, Riverdale, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Twilight Zone, Siren, and The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco. He has worked for Netflix, The CW, Apple TV+, Paramount+, and other studios and networks, providing on set and private coaching for productions worldwide. Known for a structured, performance based approach developed specifically for actors, Sasha combines linguistic precision with the practical demands of set work. His coaching includes Russian and Ukrainian dialect and accent work, Russian language coaching, dialogue preparation, script and sides translation, subtitles, voice over coaching, and on set language support, helping performers deliver authentic Russian and Ukrainian dialogue and believable Russian accented English while maintaining character and emotional truth. Sasha’s methods have been presented in professional workshops for UBCP/ACTRA performers and incorporated into actor training environments. His three part "Russian Accent for Actors" video series is part of the electronic library catalogue at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, where it serves as a resource for students and faculty. As an actor, Sasha is known for his performances in Sniper: Assassin’s End, Kompromat, Infidelity Can Be Fatal, and Crossing, with further credits across feature films, television series, and commercials produced in Canada and the United States. Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine (formerly USSR) and raised between Ukraine and Russia, he brings a lifelong understanding of Russian and Ukrainian language and culture to his work. A graduate of Capilano University’s Cinematography & Film program in Vancouver, British Columbia, he made his first guest star television appearance in 2000 on the CTV series Cold Squad and has since continued to work in film and television as both an actor and a dialect and language coach, often serving in both capacities on the same production.
