Arielle Legault is a Montreal-based filmmaker who grew up in London, Hong Kong, and Vancouver. A natural storyteller, she has been creating stories, staging performances, and making films since a young age. In 2022, she completed a Diploma in Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University, then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from Concordia University in 2025. She continued her studies at L’inis, where she received diplomas in Documentary Directing as well as in the Fiction: Cinema and Series program, specializing as a director.
She has written, produced, directed, and edited more than a dozen short films, including Malaise organisé, which won a Silver Remi Award at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and was officially selected at both Fantasia and Yorkton. Building on these experiences, she cofounded the production company Miragie Films, where she aims to give a voice to emerging artists and support bold, unique perspectives.
Arielle seeks to push the boundaries of traditional drama and comedy by integrating magical or supernatural elements. In doing so, she creates unique and vibrant worlds grounded in universal themes that explore what makes us deeply human. She is also committed to highlighting women’s voices and perspectives, and to celebrating Quebec storytelling by bringing it to both national and international audiences.
