- Ummid Ashraf (b. November 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been practicing photography and electronic music for nearly a decade. He is the founder of Bipod - an independent production house.
His directorial debut short film "DHET!" got selected at the Fantasia International Film Festival 2025 and SXSW London 2025. He produced, wrote, directed, edited and was the colorist for it.
Ummid's journey in film started as a colorist - "Priyo Maloti", "Dui Shaw", "Foreigners Only" being his most notable works.
Ummid is an electronic musician and works under the name "uummiid". He released his debut LP titled "ummid" in 2022.
