Doris Hart was the first in history to achieve the "Box Set" of Grand Slam titles, winning the singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles tournaments at the four major tournaments: Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and US Open. She completed her career "Boxed Set" at the U.S. National Championships in 1954. In 1951, one of the highlights of her career was winning all three events at Wimbledon: singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Beaten by Pat Todd at Roland Garros in 1947, but they teamed up to win the Wimbledon doubles title the next month. She and Frank Sedgman lost to Todd and Jaroslav Drobný in the 1948 mixed doubles finals at Roland Garros.
