Biography

Jon Good

Mini bio

  • Jon Good is an American film producer, director, and creative collaborator whose work spans narrative thrillers, science-fiction drama, documentary, and genre filmmaking. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Good brings a producer-first mindset to set operations, scene preparation, and execution, with a particular interest in team-driven storytelling.

Good is a graduate of Arizona State University’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School, where he completed the Semester in Los Angeles program and served as lead producer on multiple premiering student films. His producing credits include The Clubhouse (2024), directed by Isaac Luithle, a psychological thriller examining ambition and moral compromise within an exclusive country club; Memory Cartridge (2024), directed by Collin Thomas, a late-21st-century science-fiction drama exploring generational trauma through recovered memory technology; and The Busser (2024), directed by Delen Hafeed, a fast-paced coming-of-age story set inside an Italian restaurant.

Outside the university setting, Good is both a crew member and board member for Project Algerine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making Erie’s regional history accessible through documentary media and digital storytelling.

He also produced the documentary This Is Not a Draft, examines the sacrifices of members serving in the Global War on Terror after the terrorist attacks of 9_11. Prior to his career in film, Good served over 23 years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2018. His final role involved managing global military and civilian teams focused on strategic decision-making and operational doctrine-experience that continues to inform his leadership approach in film production.
