Biography

Vibha Kulkarni is an award-winning Indian director and writer based in Los Angeles. An alumna of the prestigious American Film Institute (AFI) Conservatory with an MFA in Directing and the National Institute of Design (NID), India, with an M.Des in New Media, her work spans diverse mediums, including fine art, theater, and Indian classical dance, culminating in a unique cinematic voice that bridges the cultural worlds of the East and West. Vibha is known for her coming-of-age narratives and whimsical style, often exploring themes of identity, love, and self-discovery, creating stories that resonate deeply with audiences on a personal and emotional level. Kulkarni is a 1497 Feature Lab 2025 Top 10 Finalist and a Writer's Ink 2024 Lab Scholar.
