- Born and raised in a remote village in the Congo DRC. He was 14 years old when he found himself and his family in a refugee camp in Kenya because of a tragic incident that happened in his village. He lived in the camp for 5 years before he was given an opportunity to come to the United States. His family was given a TV for the very first time and Juma fell in love with the art of film. The first movie that he ever watched on TV is Avatar.
