Biography

Grant Fortune is a Jamaican-American actor, writer, and director from Houston, Texas. Fortune began his career on stage at The PACE Center before transitioning to television and film in 2021. His on-screen credits include Leverage: Redemption (Amazon Prime Video), Pocket Dream (Anarene Films), and End of the Party (Old 320 Sycamore), which premiered at the Tribeca Festival. Most recently, Fortune wrapped filming on Paper Made, appearing opposite Michael Jai White and Myles Truitt, as well as Loser, produced by Bow and Arrow Entertainment and Radio Silence, where he appears opposite Julia Fox, Angourie Rice, and Lukas Gage.

Beyond his work as an actor, Fortune was one of five emerging screenwriters selected for the inaugural Netflix x EICOP Screenwriting Fellowship in Los Angeles, where he was paired with senior industry mentors to develop, write, and pitch his original drama pilot Heavy is the Crown. The pilot also received an Honorable Mention from the Sundance Institute Episodic Program, leading to an invitation to attend the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive in August 2026.

Fortune was also selected for the Panavision New Filmmakers Program for Where’s Everybody At? produced by The Walt Disney Company via the inaugural Disney Storytellers Program.

In addition to co-producing the upcoming films Estranged and Night Walker under his production banner, Fortune Entertainment, he is preparing for his directorial debut, Nexus - an Afro-surreal psychological thriller executive produced by Bow and Arrow Entertainment, with production slated for Summer 2026.

Fortune continues to expand his creative portfolio while studying at Howard University in Washington, D.C., as an Economics + Juris Doctor dual-degree candidate, combining his creative vision with a strong foundation in Law and holistic business acumen. He is represented across the board as an actor, writer, and director by Luber Roklin Entertainment and Stewart Talent Agency.
