Biography

Carol Lynn Pearson was born on September 27, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. She was a writer, known for Facing East, The Animated Book of Mormon (1987) and Animated Stories from the New Testament (1987). She was married to Gerald Neils Pearson. She died on July 29, 2026 in Walnut Creek, California, USA.

Studied music and theater at Brigham Young University.

Has four children Emily (b. 1968) is an actress and author; son John (b. 1969) is a professional caricaturist and one of the original animators of The Simpson; son Aaron (b. 1971) is a rock musician; and, Katharine Sirrine 'Katy' (b. 1975) died of a brain tumor in 1999.
