Biography

Kari Layland is an American actress and filmmaker from Cottage Grove, MN. She has worked as a portrait photographer since 1998. Kari is married to Robert Layland and has three daughters, Alinya, Zahra and Annabelle. After a hiatus from performing to raise her family and build her portrait business, Kari returned to acting in film and commercials in 2021. Inspired by a film festival she attended with her daughter, Kari and her family began writing scripts and produced a series of short films under Tough Love Productions. Since 2021 Kari has acted in several shorts and feature films, and worked on many others as Director and Cinematographer.
