Federico Damborsky is an Argentine composer and sound designer based in the Netherlands, working across film, TV, games, and advertising. Known for his passion, reliability, and problem-solving mindset, he approaches each project with both creative instinct and strategic clarity. His work is defined by distinctive and emotionally resonant sound worlds that feel fresh and original, always serving the story and the broader vision behind it.
His recent work includes Netflix’s iHostage, the most-watched Dutch film of all time, reaching #1 worldwide on Netflix, as well as the acclaimed TV series The Golden Hour and Tonnano (spin-off of the hit series Mocro Maffia).
Federico collaborates with music and advertising agencies around the world, contributing to international campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Marriott, Bolt, Nissan, and Sony Honda. He has also worked with major record labels including Warner, Sony, Interscope, and BMG.
Federico studied bass guitar and music production before focusing on composition, orchestration, and arrangements under the mentorship of Daniel Camelo (Berklee College of Music graduate with honors), exploring both classical and jazz traditions. He earned a diploma with distinction in Music and Sound Design for Media from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Argentina. He further refined his expertise through a year of private studies with Peter Murray (Hogwarts Legacy), specializing in virtual orchestration, composition, and implementation techniques.
He has also attended masterclasses and workshops with internationally renowned composers such as Gustavo Santaolalla, Austin Wintory, Tom Salta, Mychael Danna, Carlos Rafael Rivera, and Volker Bertelmann, among others.
In 2026, Federico was nominated for the ADCN Awards in Music. In 2024, Federico was nominated for Best Sound Design at Soundtrack Cologne’s European Talent Award.
Beyond his work for screen and interactive media, Federico has produced artists whose music has reached millions of views across digital platforms. He has created presets and demo material for Chris Hein virtual instruments (Best Service), developed orchestral arrangements for a variety of projects, and has also worked as a private instructor, mentoring musicians in composition and production.
