Biography

James (Jim) D. Long is a filmmaker, publisher and author who previously enjoyed an active career for nearly thirty years in broadcast radio, as a disc jockey, copywriter and producer, program director, talk-show host and general manager. In 1995, Jim and his wife, Carol, launched Lightcatcher Productions. Their first project grew out of research on an historical Texas flying ship and resulted in their first documentary, On the Wings of Ezekiel. Jim later wrote and directed, Riddle of the Exodus (2002) shot on location in Egypt. It was based on his own book of the same name. That was followed by Treasures of the Copper Scroll (2007), an official entry in the 2007 Monaco Charity Film Festival and the 2008 Beverly Hills Hi Def Film Festival. In 2014, Jim directed The Phone in the Attic (2014). Under the Lightcatcher Productions banner, Jim continues to develop feature films and documentary projects.
