- Melissa Lee grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She spent her childhood studying dance and performing in musicals. At the age of 17, she was accepted to and began her theatre training at North Carolina School of the Arts Conservatory. After leaving school, she worked as a model for a year in New York before beginning her acting career. She has also studied with Wynn Handman, Howard Fine, and at the Groundlings School in Los Angeles - where she has appeared in sketch shows. In 2007, she took a break from acting to finish her college degree at The New School.
