  • Rafat Hashempour was born in 1931 in Ardabil city and after completing his primary education (graduating from the Academy of Acting) to study theater acting, he entered the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran and graduated with a bachelor's degree in this field. Although he had studied acting, he began his artistic career with dubbing at the invitation of Houshang Latifpour. He started dubbing professionally in the mid-1950s and in 1958, and also taught as a teacher in education between 13959 and 1967. The special characteristics of his emotional, determined, pleasant and epic voice, along with his amazing talent and exemplary ability in the art of narration, made him soon progress in this field and from the very first years of his activity in leading roles and instead of the greatest international actors such as Anna Maniani, Vivienne Lee, Ingrid Bergman, Susan Hayward, Rita Hearst, Melina Mercury, Lana Turner, Eva Gardner, Irene Papas, Gina Lolubrigida, Kaposin, Jean Moro, Anne Bancroft, Kim Novak, Ursula Anders, Fi Dan In Iranian films, instead of Shahla Riahi, Fakhri Khorvash, Azar Shiva, etc., he narrates and even is a regular narrator of some of these actors.

    During his dubbing career, Rafat Hashempour met and married another famous Iranian dubber, Jalal Maghami.
