Kerem Soyyilmaz was born and raised in Besiktas, Istanbul. With a background in commercial films, Searching for Rodakis is his first documentary feature. Searching for Rodakis won 11 awards including the most prestigious documentary film award of Turkey, The Best Documentary Picture Award at the 30th. Adana Golden Boll Film Festival. He is always on the move between Copenhagen and Istanbul, working on film and cultural projects.
