Biography

Tanin J. Risdon is a writer, director, and editor hailing from Calgary, Alberta. After relocating to Vancouver to attend film school, Tanin immersed himself in the indie film community. During this time, he also joined an improv group and became actively involved in Vancouver's comedy community, honing his skills as a storyteller and comedian. Drawing inspiration from his love for Saturday Night Live and the timeless comedy of the 90s and early 2000s, Tanin creates short films and sketches that aim to bring joy and laughter to audiences. His comedic shorts, The Red Lady from Foley Street and Tegg Sandwich, have earned him Best Director awards at the Los Angeles Comedy & Film Screenplay Festival. With a keen eye for humour and a talent for crafting engaging narratives, Tanin thrives on making people laugh and connecting with audiences through his unique comedic voice.
